massive frame drops in csgo

Go to solution Solved by Thepokedex,

I fixed it, my laptop was thermal throttling

When I usually play csgo it runs at 200-150 fps with rarely occuring frame drops. When I woke up this morning my game started running at an avg of 100 fps with frame drops to 30 fps. I there a way I could fix this?.I am using a laptop with a gtx 1050 and I've recently gotten a 75hz monitor but it was working normally when I first used it.

If you want someone to help you, you should probably give some more information about your system and things you tried already.

Also anything that happened to your PC yesterday, like driver updates, hardware changes and things like that, could prove helpful in finding the issue.

Well your single channel RAM is only hurting performance, especially in SODIMM on a laptop. Look to see if something changed with power monitoring. I know my laptop's performance drops to about 1/3 when on battery, check the charger's connectors.

I have tried changing the power mode to best performance and nothing has changed
