RGB costs more.... but yes, try looking for this specific part number. F4-3200C14D-32GTZN

If you see a kit with the same part number but with a "C" at the end, that's the wrong kit and you'll have issues with it.

When you get this kit, and you still have troubles, tag me and I'll help you set it up.

I’m not concerned with price. I didn’t anticipate a set with a lower cas latency would be benificial. I thought the lower the latency the more chance of instability.

So, second topic, same issue. I have:

Ryzen 7 3800x

Asus B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi Motherboard

EVGA 3070ti FTW3 Graphics Card

G.Skill F4-3200C16D-32GTZN Ram

The ram will not overclock (no post) no matter what I do. Cross referenced on compatibility, good. BIOS update, good. Both sticks of ram are working, but being the 3rd kit I’ve tried I have no clue what it is that’s causing my system to not post in DOCP. I’ve even gone as far to try a ram calculated and spent hours fiddling with timings and never any luck. Won’t even post at 2400Mhz let alone 3200Mhz. Could really use some help troubleshooting this.. Please.

Ah you just grabbed the wrong kit several times.

Try F4-3200C14D-32GTZSK for your next kit.

Now I know it’s not necessary but I like the rgb look in my pc. Is there another kit you’d recommend? Also, it wasn’t the same kit. The 2 Corsair kits I bought I admit I didn’t check first. But I got this part number directly off the Asus website. And it’s a Ryzen kit. Which is why I’m so confused as to why it won’t work.

AMD kit is just marketing. The memory ICs on the memory are probably sk hynix, which doesn't play super well with AMD.

Well do you have any recommendations for rgb kits then? The last 2 I had before this I had Samsung kits and both still didn’t work.

That's a high end Samsung B-Die kit. It'll probably do what ever you want.

When you swap the ram, clear cmos. Post and run the system at defaults first post. Then do a restart and then enable xmp.
