Can I do anything with a second GPU

I recently got an RX6600 XT and it is now my main GPU, I now have an rx 580 sitting in a box and im curious if there's any use cases for it if i chuck it back into the pc as a secondary GPU.

On a more serious note, you’ll be able to use it for some small things. It won’t work in parallel with your 6600xt to give you more FPS in games. You could use it for encoding games for streaming and video editing while you’re gaming. Or you can mine with it, or can I introduce you to our friend Folding @ Home? Easiest way to describe it is that it works like mining, but instead of making something that’s not tangible that people buy into for some odd reason you get to help with medical research. Alzheimer’s, cancer etc. it helps look for possible cures and treatments by using your graphics card to simulate proteins. Most recently COVID has been a big thing. Potential vaccines, long term treatments, but that’s died down a bit. Cheap heat for your room with a feel good side effect for you.

Pop it into the lower slot and use it for Folding@Home
