CPU Temps Extremely High

Hello,

I bought this PC about 5 months ago, it was pre built. ( Respawn Ninja TOMAHAWK XS Gaming PC - RTX 3060 Ti - https://www.mwave.com.au/product/respawn-ninja-tomahawk-xs-gaming-pc-rtx-3060-ti-ac48534)

 

The CPU is an intel i9 9980HK, I have noticed the PC is getting very hot and have monitored the temperatures and they seem very high. When i start the PC they are fluctuating between 70 and 95 degrees celsius. Once everything has launched it then goes down to 60-70 but jumps up to 80-90.

 

I am now writing this post and while using chrome to do so my temps just got to 100 degrees and are currently sitting at 75, but is fluctuating upto 100

 

I have gone into BIOS and the temperature is normal there (50 degrees or so).

 

This is practically a brand new PC, and as far as I can tell there is no issue.

 

The only thing I would add is I haven't checked the temperatures up until this point in time as I assumed there would be nothing to worry about, so for all I know the temps could have been this high the entire time I had this PC.

I installed Windows 11 about a week ago, and I initially came to realisation about the temps on that OS and it was actually less severe (wasn't reaching 100degrees), I switched back to Windos 10 thinkings perhaps windows 11 was the reason for the temperatures and now it's worse.

 

I'd really appreciate any help

What an odd configuration. Must be a very weird mobo. I would contact the store as this is a prebuilt.
