Buy now or wait?

I'm sure this has been asked before. But at what price do you think it's worth buying the 3080ti now, and not waiting for the 40 series? Prices have been falling significantly lately and it feels like if they get low enough, even with 40 series coming, it would be worth a buy. Thoughts? 

At what point would you personally just buy one now?

Rn is perfect to grab an amd rn but wait out nvidia as prices should drop when the 40 series grts announced just like 20 and 30 series

If it is what you want, they are going to be underpowered compared to anything coming out in just a few months.  Or even next year for the 4070.

Yeah, but I figured with every launch selling out immediately, AIB's not having cards for a few months after launch, Potential push back to December (for initial launch). I think I feel good about it.

Even though 3000 was so bad it took less than a month to get a 3080 from MC.  Although things went downhill after that... Maybe if I got stuck on something slow I would change my mind but I can last some time on a 3080.  Seeing 3090tis for 1499 new tempted me a bit though.
