Which CPU Cooler would be better?

I would like the quieter and higher performing CPU Cooler.

 

I'm deciding between:

 

Noctua NH-L9i

and

Corsair H75 with a Slim 12mm Thick Scythe Slipstream Fan in pull, which is rated at 1mm/h20.

 

Which would cool better and quieter?

 

Are there any better options that are under 83mm in height?

According to this review, http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/printpage/Corsair-H75-CPU-Cooler-Review/1834 , the H75 would be better. The fan will be louder at stock, this wouldn't be a problem since you are going to get a new fan. Also don't get a slim fan, they are not very good.

It doesn't fit without a slim fan, so please respond based on what I said. This will be in the Raven RVZ01 which has 83mm height clearance on the CPU cooler.

If you can't get a 25mm fan then don't bother. I would go with the L9i instead.

Actually I found this, http://www.frozencpu.com/products/21926/cpu-scy-38/Scythe_BIG_SHURIKEN_2_Rev_B_5-Heatpipe_Universal_Low_Profile_CPU_Cooler_SCBSK-2100.html . I believe this would be better. The fan is designed for the cooler so I think it should be fine.

As I said it has 1mm H20 so it is a good rad fan.

definitly go with rad

and if you have good static pressure, you will benefit even more

I think my initial thought of the H75 will perform better, I was looking for some reassurance and I've got that from 2 people, so we'll have to see when I build it if I run into problems.
