First Build

Budget (including currency): ~1500 USD

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: A wide variety of games and mildly intensive video editing

Other details: I want something that can achieve high framerates in most games, doesn't have to be crazy for really intensive games. I am not entirely sure how all of this works, as it is my first build, but I have been wanting to give this a shot for a while. I am also not including any other fans or extras in the list below. Please help

About what id recommend

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FcwGxs

Going last gen is usually never recommended, unless you're on a tight budget which you have the room for.

Afaik video editing is more gpu bound then cpu bound, so the 12400f should be adequate for both uses

The hyper 212 is a extremely overpriced cpu cooler for its perfromance. Thermalright is a better brand for cheaper.

Cheapest kit of 32gb ram

I'd definitely spec a better gpu then a 3060, it's useful since it's a cheaper option to get a larger amount of vram, but I'd personally get a better working gpu. Also depending on how intense the timelines would be, 8gb of vram should be fine

Case that's on sale and a quality psu that's surprisingly cheap that will match the color of the Case

Consider a newer generation and more powerful CPU. I'd suggest the locked version as it's performance can be quite close to the unlocked version.
