So I installed my r7 3700x and a thermaltake th240. I sold it and fitted the original air cooler (the wraith cooler or whatever the name is) but now that I want to buy a different mobo, I can’t get my cpu out. It’s stuck in the socket, and everything I’ve done hasn’t made much of a difference. Can someone pls help?

Diiiid you lift the retention arm?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Do you mean the whole cooler? The thermal paste on AMDs stock cooler is like glue, I once had the CPU come stick to it when I force it out, like the thing just ripped it out of the socket with the retention arm still down.

Wiggle it to the sides a bit before pulling it out, but Im afraid its just the way it is.
