GPU Crashing? Constant Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding Errors

Zypherz

Hey Guys,

When I'm gaming on my PC the games are constantly crashing back to the desktop, doesn't matter what game I play but typically its Halo or World of Tanks. Game just crashes, half the time the Event Log doesn't record any errors but the other half I'm getting Event ID 4101 and 14 for:

Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found.

I've tried the following but still have the same problem:

Reinstalled different Nvidia Drivers (using DDU and/or clean install from Nvidia) ranging from 412.77 to most recent.

Moved GPU to different PCI-E lane on motherboard
Reinstalled Windows 11 Pro from Scratch

Tried 3 different 3080 GPU's (Two were brand new)

I'm not sure where to go from here, does anyone have some other troubleshooting steps that I can perform? PC specs are below:

i7-11700F

32 G.Skill GB Ram DDR4 3200MHz

Asus Strix 3080 White

Asus Strix Z590-A
WD 500GB M.2 SSD

Thanks and appreciate any help.

sounds more like a disk issue actually.. when disk files are missing.. or something removing/renaming them..

if it can't find the dll.. something is corrupt or corrupting the file

Shouldn’t this have been resolved by Reinstalling Windows?
