16gb of 32gb kits available

my issue is that i have a 32gb kit of ram in my pc but its reserving half of it? i have tried resetting bios, updating bios, making sure its not using it for igpu and i have checked msconfig
my specs are
cpu: ryzen 5 2600
ram: corsair vengeance rgb pro 3600mhz 4x8gb
mobo: msi b450 tomahawk max
gpu: amd r9 390

Was that Windows 7 Home Premium upgraded to 10? Win7 HP had a 16GB limit.

So reinstalling from scratch would solve it? 

Or... change version.

Windows 10 doesn't have such a small limit, but I thought it might be a faulty upgrade or something.

even if it did, the limitation wont be transferred to win10.

win10 home limit is 128gb. reinstalling wont solve the problem.

 

to OP, try cleaning your memory slots with contact cleaner.

usually this problem caused by improper contact (from my experience).
also ryzen 2600 not suppose to support 3600 memory. Max around 2999mhz, even lower if all slots filled.
