Is it a dying psu?

Go to solution Solved by ItsYaBoiKasper_,

the Corsair RM750x seems like a solid option that will do the trick mighty fine.

I7 2600

Gtx1070 8gb(palit)

Ssd 240gb

1tb hdd x 2

500gb hdd x1

16gb 1600mhz

Intel dp67bg

Andyson 600w 80+bronze

Recently I upgraded from gtx 1050ti to gtx 1070 and i run heaven benchmark it draws 145w then it completely powers off like someone unplugged the power  and when it restarted it shows my c drive scanning and repairing. I have check crystaldiskinfo my ssd health is 90 percent

I am more inclined to psu not being good enough for the card but could it be the card have issues? It is a second hand card.

All thermal are normal 70 degree celsius on cpu

77 degree celsius  on gpu.

If the power draws the reason is there a way to limit the power draw? While I buy a better psu or is there other factors that might be in play rn

I would be suspecting the issue is the power supply not being up to scratch, I've not heard of this brand / model and a google searches lack of results does not fill me with confidence of its reliability.

What would you recommend? I am on a tight budget right now is 750w gold be enough? I do have ton of things connected to my pc cos rn the maximum power my gpu draw is below 160w according to HWmonitor. It will run but the power will suddenly drop to 90w then back again to 157w then my pc completely no power and restart itself. I only have 150sgd as budget

I'd agree with getting a corsair PSU if budget allows, I've rarely had issues with them but as general research look at the post below.

Ideally I would suggest Tier A gold listing as skimping on PSU is generally not recommended, if you can get one with high enough wattage 750 upwards its likely to be able to be carried forward into any future part replacement in the next few years.
