Hi, i watched the most recent WAN show and Linus and Luke were discussing how bad Hangouts was and that theyd changed over. I realise that they also said it was expensive to do so as well.

Well i was just wanting to mention Element, id expect them to have already looked at it but if not they should. Its open source, based on matrix, you can host it yourself, its cross platform and you can intergrate so many other things into it. Slack, telegram, signal, whatsapp, MS Teams, Jitsi and use things like YouTube Spotify and a bunch of other things. I dont know if its the best client, but it sounds awesome.

Id been looking at it recently myself, thought it was worth a mention since you wouldnt have to rely on another company or be limited to 1 external sub preference. 馃檭馃槈 Hope it helps you guys 馃槝
