Using router as wireless collection for server

Need help, would I be able to take my future server and run it off of a router/pcie wifi card. Can't get the server connected over lan, so I want it to have best connectivity possible of wireless. So my question would a router be better use for this or would it be waste of money. 

Server would be use to run a couple vms to play around with, minecraft, and or ark server. Small plex for me and partner. 

 

Cpu: Ryzen 9 5900x 

Motherboard: to be determined 

Memory: 2x16g 3200mhz

Storage: nvme ssd

Gtx 1050 ti for picture out, gaming if needed

Power supply:500 watts platinum

Yes, it's slightly complicated, but there ARE easier ways of going about it.
