Hello, a friend of mine referred me to this forum after I complained to him about a PC problem that I've been having. My technical knowledge isn't the best, but I'm going to explain what's up as best I can, any help would be appreciated. I bought a laptop about two years ago, at the time it had a single 16GB stick of RAM and a 512GB NVME.2. After a couple of months I installed an old HHD and it worked without any issues. Then I installed another 16GB RAM stick. In retrospect I think it was then when the 100% disc usage on the second HDD started. I assumed that the drive was old and finally broke, so I removed it and installed a Kingston 1TB SSD, but I get the same problem with that drive. It works fine for a while, then the usage ramps up to 100% and stays there until the whole laptop becomes unresponsively slow. It's infuriating. It doesn't matter if I'm using it for dropbox or installing a game, the same thing happens. I watched probably a dozen YouTube fixes for 100% disc usage, but to no avail. What could the problem be?

Here are some screenshots that I took. The computer was working fine, then read your message. To initiate the 100% disc problem, I installed Metro Exodus from to the D: drive, like clockwork, disc usage ramped up to 100%, took some screenshots and then had to restart the laptop because it slowed to a crawl
