Hi Guys!

Can someone help me get a malware out form my PC. It seems I cannot access my "Virus & Threat Proection" from my windows. A screenshot has been attached. I have also attached a screenshot of a scan that I have done with Malware bytes, but even after removing the detected malwares, I still have the viruses coming up. From what I have narrowed down is the virus has something to do with my Google Chrome. But I just dont know how to get rid of it.

Kindly please help.. and THANKYOU!

Do as @tkitchsuggested and try manually deleted the virus/malware in safe mode. If that doesn't work it looks like you may have had your system settings affected as well. If you're Windows has really been infiltrated to the point of an IT Administrator lock your best bet is to just start over by either making a new user profile and deleting the affected one or doing a format and reinstall of Windows in it's entirety which is the safest and easiest way to remedy this situation. I'd recommend Malwarebytes being the first thing you install and setup if you end up fresh installing. And with the amount of stuff you have going on I'd definitely stop whatever it is you're doing to get so much malware or at least be careful and not download things you aren't 100% sure about.

Honestly, me... I'd just reinstall.
Safer. Just in case.

@SpookyCitrus thank you for the advice. Re-installing windows is definitely the last resort I have. However I have many important documents on my windows which I dont want to go hassle of moving into another USB/HArd drive and then moving back in.

@tkitch I have tried for a Full scan as-well. The scan is stucked at  "Estimated time remainign 00:00:00" and "0 files scanned".

If you create a new user profile and just copy and paste your documents and needed files from the old profile to the new one you can then just delete the affected user profile without reinstalling Windows. However there is still a risk that what ever virus or malware you have has infected the system in a way that a user profile switch may not work in which case you will have to fresh install.

I don't know if you started the reinstalling process but i had a similar problem only worse if you ask me, my computer kept restarting after 1 minute, nothing worked not even safe mode. I ended up reinstalling windows but my advice would be to look for anti malware software from companies like ESET, Norton even Avira, im guessing what i had was too much for them but maybe it would help you.

They offer image files that you can boot into and run a scan on your computer, some even allow you to move files around from your PC, i used it to save some important documents before formatting the C drive and reinstalling everything. I recommend doing a full scan after reinstalling your windows.

Simply download their software, use Rufus to "burn" the image file on a USB drive and boot into it and go along. Hopefully it can help you or anyone that stumbles upon this thread.

It may help to zero the drive BEFORE the OS install begins.
To completely zero/blank/scrub the drive is another step yet I'd consider it a required step too.

This way there is less chance of it hiding somewhere in the drive even if formatted, only to reappear after your install is done.
