K or no K

I'm looking at my countries most popular pc part seller and they have a sale on the i7 non K variant. How much am I leaving on the table in terms of performance if at all with the non K variant? 

I save 750 Nok or about 79 usd. About 17%. Then the question becomes should I wait? I have a H115i, would that fit the new CPU? 

I have never overclock my 2 previous PCs, and while I know it isn't that hard I just tend to like a cooler and more silent PC.

Judging by the tags, I take it it's the i7 12700? 

If so, I wouldn't bother with the K. The latest releases by both sides have made overclocking kinda moot, as they already tend to release most of their CPUs pretty close to their maximum performance (barring exotic cooling // extreme overclocking).

If you've never overclocked before, don't even bother.

 

As for the H115i, you need to either get your hands on an adapter (something like this https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-|-Parts/PC-Components/Cooling/ELITE-Series-Retention-Kit/p/CW-8960093) or a new cooler designed for the larger CPU.
