Will depend a lot on viewing distance if its better than oled tv.

room is 12 ft wide. i would like a projector because my pc is on the same wall as the projector would be where as the tv would be across the room which would be harder to drag a hdmi cable to

A long HDMI cable seems much easier to run than setting up a screen normally. And a TV will generally look much better than a projector, and much better contrast and black levels. TVs are also silent and don't have a fan to listen to and bulbs to replace..

How bright is your room? your gonna want it fairly dim for decent image quality. That projector isn't super bright. Looks fine otherwise.

You can get some 4k dlps like the ht5550. You will get the rainbow effect if that's an issue for you. Id argue 4k doesn't really make a difference for most projector setups.

Regardless of projector or TV unless you are seated at less than twice the screen diagonal 4K will not be beneficial. It's rarely the case in a projector setup.
