Ryzen 5 5600G upgrade

Go to solution Solved by brob,

PCIe is backwards compatible.

The 5600g is a decent match for the RTX 3060. Given that even high-end CPU / GPU combos can't saturate 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes, you are sacrificing nothing getting a PCIe 4.0 GPU.

Budget (including currency): ARS$55.000 (USD$260)

Country: Argentina

I want to buy  a GPU (i dont mind used) mostly for gaming on a 768p 60hz monitor (but i want to leave room to upgrade to a 1080 60hz monitor down the line).

I don`t expect much more than 60fps, i just don`t want to become unable to play certain games at all in the next couple of years, i don`t really aim for more than mid to high settings but if i can afford it i would like higher.

I used the integrated graphis for a year now and they are great, honestly i don`t need the upgrade rigth now for the games im playing (witcher 3, prey, fallout 4, 7 days to die, etc) but i have a little money to spend rigth now and i don`t now how long the gpu prices will be this low, i don`t want to buy a new game in a year or two just to realize that its unplayable (it happened already with New World, i could run it at barely 30 fps but it looks really bad).

at this point in time i have found some options:

-Gtx 1650 Super = ARS$44.000 (USD$210)

-Rx 5500xt Oc 4gb = ARS$49.000 (USD$234)

-Gtx 1070 = ARS$50.000 (USD$240)

-Gtx 1660 Super = ARS$55.000 (USD$260)

-RTX 2060 mini itx = ARS$67.600 (USD$322)

My Specs:

- Ryzen 5 5600g with the stock cooler

- Gigabyte a520m ds3h

- 16gb ddr4 3200mhz (2x8)

- Kingston 500gb m.2 ssd

- 2tb hard drive

- Sentey Block Gs-6850  (But i have a bigger one if its needed)

- 650w Sentey ERP650-SS

Thank for your time and your help, and please excuse my english

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

That's a garbage groupregulated unit. Low quality, no OCP and OTP, 552w @12v and only one 6 pin and one 6+2 pin for a GPU. There are real 400w PSUs doing much better.
