Comment/Concerns on my proposed build

Go to solution Solved by GhostRoadieBL,

nothing stands out as incompatible.

as a note to the industry as a whole, it's probably not worth the extra steps, but getting a lower end CPU (5600G or 5800X) until the next platform launches and a lot of high tier enthusiasts will be selling their 5900 and 5950's to upgrade to the latest platform and upgrading performance. We saw this with every generation of CPUs with big jumps in performance between generations, even DDR4 will start to dip in price in the coming months due to both AMD and Intel going to DDR5 exclusive with their next launches.

That being said, this is a great build for 1440p high fps.

Budget (including currency): $3000.00 USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly gaming with some light video editing mixed in

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7jmt3y

No peripherals are needed

I already have Monitor 3440X1440, Case fans x5 Noctua 140mm, and EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G5 PSU

I am upgrading from https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9hhQd9 (was built in 2019 with spare parts from a friend)

I plan on buying in the next couple of weeks

Maybe an Intel platform instead, the 12th gen is performing better at the moment and you are changing platforms anyway it seems?

I would also suggest something with more airflow in terms of case, especially if you have all those sweet sweet noctua fans.

GPU may be another thing to consider investing into, they have been going back to MSRP prices.

Current system. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X; MoBo: Gigabyte X570S Aorus Master; RAM: 2x Crucial Ballistix MAX 2x8 GB (BLM2K8G40C18U4B); GPU: RX 6900 XT Gigabyte Aorus Master; case: Fractal Design Meshify-2; Storage: Samsung 980PRO 1TB NVMe SSD + 2x Samsung 980 1TB NVMe SSD; PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-850; Cooling: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360.

The best gaming PC is the PC you like to game on, how you like to game on it
