HDMI not working

I tried to turn on my ten year old pc with intel i3 2nd gen and nvidia gt 710. I didn't get any output at first with hdmi but when i tried a VGA it truned on perfectly. I there any why to fix HDMI port

It only may or may not be the port.  One possibility is the cable went bad. There are a bunch though. Not all of them even hardware necessarily.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
