New CPU

So i was just upgrading to. RYZEN 5 5600X and it wouldnt post i was troubleshooting and figure out my ram now only works in the first 2 slots so i cant do 2 and 4 or 1 and 3 would anyone know why? And with them being in 1 and 2 is it going to be noticably slower?

you might need to update your bios, what version is it in your current mobo? And what mobo do you even have in the first place?

I updated it to the most recent and its the b450 tomahawk and when i plugged my old cpu all the slots worked just like before my old cpu was the ryzen 5 2600x
