Games crashing mid-game with graphics Display Error

xjae95

Hi everyone! I can't seem to figure out what the problem is here. Every time I play Call of Duty, Overwatch, Civilization and a few other games my game crashes about halfway in due to a display error. I have a hunch that it could be Windows 11 interfering with my graphics card or that my monitors have given up on life.

I have tried ddu. A fresh install of windows 11. different HDMI/DP ports.Updated Bios . Also using only 1 of my monitors at a time.

Specs:

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090

12th Gen Intel i9-12900K

64 GB DDR5

ROG STRIX Z690-G Gaming Wifi

1200watt PSU

3x 34inch wide screen Predator Monitors

My monitors have served me great but recently the screen has static lines and marks and turns off like an old television and back on. Which I have found wiggling the Displayport or Power port fixes the problem but not permanently. But this doesn't annoy me just yet as it doesn't happen very often. I also found at random times during the hour one of the monitors display turns off and on almost immediately where windows display settings change a little which could be a problem?...  I am only using 60hertz for all 3 monitors instead of 100hertz as it reduced the amount of crashing I get in the games.

The crashing has only started when I upgraded from a 2080ti to a 3090 and windows 10 to windows 11. It's been a long process, but apart from returning to windows 10 again to see if it works better are there any other solutions that could fix the problem? Thankyou in advanced

nice system. you might have a faulty gpu if you still have the 2080ti see if using that solves the issue

I have recently been experiencing similar crashes in Cyberpunk 2077 on my RTX 3070 Ti. At first I thought it was caused by my undervolt, even though the undervolt is perfectly stable in every other game, but even when I removed the undervolt, I kept getting the same error.

Maybe there is some bug in the latest drivers, have you tried using older drivers?

That could be a possibility but I refuse to believe it at the moment 😂 I have to admit I did buy it from a miner. But it has had no issues apart from games crashing more frequently recently. When I first built it it was fine for a couple of weeks...

does not sound good if you got it from a miner and you were previously experiencing more crashing. try undervolting to increase stability

I have not tried this yet but I will definitely give it a go when I get time
