Computer Freezing on Boot

zuisk

So my brothers motherboard got bricked due to power surges (We think).; So we went out and bought a new motherboard. And proprietary shit by Lenovo made us by a new cpu cooler, and with that he bought a new 5900x. (Same AM4 socket as 5700g) Well we assemble the computer and long story short after fiddling with it for hours we finally get tit to boot after reinstalling windows. And it just freezes on every boot up (Unless we boot to bios then its fine). Now after reinstalling ram (Seeing if that was an issue) trying nvmes from other computers trying moving around nvmes. Nothing worked. We updated the bios and it still freezes. We can't even reset the computer because it just gives an error message that we can't.

650w PowerSupply

3070ti

b550m prime -a

32gb of gskill trident rgb ram

2 nvme

Update BIOS to: Version 2423

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/PRIME/PRIME-B550M-A/HelpDesk_BIOS/

If ram kit is a single kit and not two 2x8gb kits with different timings, then manuelly set timings, frequency and dram voltage in BIOS. If you want you can get the full timings table by downloading Aida64 go to motherboard ->SPD and write down timings. If it's two different kits, check timings for both and use the one witht the highest timings.  (you would have to get the pc to work somewhat stable in order to view the info in Aida64).

I suggest setting only the primary timings leaving everything auto ie. 16-18-16-36 for your typical 3200mhz kit (You would still need to set dram voltage and frequency)

CPU: Ryzen 5800X3D | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Elite V2 | RAM: G.Skill Aegis 2x16gb 3200 @3600mhz | PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G3 | Monitor: LG 27GL850-B , Samsung C27HG70 |
GPU: Red Devil RX 7900XT | Sound: Odac + Fiio E09K | Case: Fractal Design R6 TG Blackout |Storage: MP510 960gb and 860 Evo 500gb | Cooling: CPU: Noctua NH-D15 with one fan

FS in Denmark/EU:

Asus Dual GTX 1060 3GB. Used maximum 4 months total. Looks like new. Card never opened. Give me a price.

Ok then set timings manually. XMP (DOCP) might not work. Also if you havent. Disable Asus Armoury crate in BIOS. If you got it installed. You can uninstall it by downloading the uninstaller from ASUS. https://www.asus.com/supportonly/Armoury Crate/HelpDesk_Download/
