Currently have my pc sitting next to me on top of a dresser. The gpu creates a large amount of coil whine, which can get very annoying sometimes. I am thinking about putting the computer itself in a different nearby room in order to prevent the noise and even help with the temps inside my room. Is there a reasonable solution to this? I am fine with running a cable(s) through the hallway.

Here's a rough drawing of two choices you could take. The red route will require you do drill two holes into your wall and use a brush plate to run cables to your PC in the other room, but the required length of cables will be much shorter. The green route doesn't require using tools however keep in mind that:

  1. Your cables have long enough to reach wherever you put your PC.
  2. They will have to be hugging the wall to not be a tripping hazard.
  3. Using the door to and from the room with your desk will become a problem because of the cables.

I was very vague in my original post (my mistake). My situation would need a cable that is much longer than the configuration you have drawn. I was imagining the setup to be kind of similar to the setup Linus used in this video. But it would be more horizontal than vertical. I don't know for sure the length I would need but the cables would need to be very long (I can provide a rough guess if you want).

That would be helpful. Another question I have is where do you plan to put the PC in the other room and where would your desk be in your room?

Scale is kinda wack but you get the idea. I'm guessing cable(s) would need to be around 15'-20' in order to fit with some slack.

From the rough scale of the drawing I would say a 20' cable would be the right length with some slack for a service loop. It would be easy to keep the cables to the wall to prevent them from being a tripping hazard, but there still is the issue of the cables becoming a problem for the doors.

Would there be a specific type/brand of cable you would recommend? I would need usb 3.0, display port, and hdmi. If possible a minimal affect on latency would be nice. If it makes a big difference I'm just not gonna do it.
