Seems like the difference is under $100. I'd go for the 6600XT (actually I'd get the 6700xt which I've seen as low as $499)

Gonna play 1080p on a 4K tv, which probably maxes out at 60hz (very low cost tv). CPU is a 12400, so it can handle anything I throw at it.

Is it worth it to go with XT?

Speaking from experience, it's going to look ugly, especially text. You would be better served with a good second hand 1080P TV with a better refresh rate than a cheap 4K panel. Alternatively an NVDIA card using DLSS 2.0 and actually running in 4K. A 3070 TI will run you 4K panel easy unless you push details at Stupid level.

IMHO The 6600 XT is a much better card that the no xt and well worth the price difference.
As an extra, you might be able to be able to watch films and vids at the rated 4K of your TV.

Not sure how I missed the 1080p on a 4k tv part

that will make things a lot easier to drive, but honestly you won't have a great experience and input lag will be noticeable often depending on the type of games you play.

I am using an RX 5700XT on a 1080p/60tv without any issues and it can play any game at all. The 6600XT is about == to 5700XT.

Well, I dont want to buy another TV or screen of any kind rn, and I dont have tons of money to spend towards an nvidia card (hence the initial question otherwise yeah for sure I'd go with crazy expensive uber performer card). I'll grab a 6600XT then, and use FSR2.0 to play 4k native 🙂

well, not gonna play any competitive title on that PC, I got my own PC with 3080 plugged to an ultrawide 144hz if I wanted to do that (and I really dont).
Second PC is for casual gaming on the TV in the basement.

I know that feel. I have two different PC's for that very use case.

One is a 5ghz 8700k paired with a 5700XT to my 75" LG 4k/120hz (but I run at 1080p/120hz)

The other is an i3-10105F paired with an RX 570 4GB on a cheap generic 1080p/60 55"
