I have a 3 month old asus 3060 ko ti and was offered a straight trade for a radeon 6700xt I was wondering if this would

be a good trade I don’t use ray tracing

1 - Do you play any of these games that have the 6700XT faster or slower than the 3060Ti?

2 - What do you actually get out of this swap, why not just leave it as is and save the headache of swaps for give or take...similar performance.

3 - For the games that actually have a decent gain, does it really matter when many games are ONE and DONE, finished to barely/never be played again.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

If you don't use ray tracing I'd say go for it.

It has more VRAM, better Linux support and imo a much better control panel. Really the only way it's worse is ray tracing (which doesn't seem to matter to you) and power consumption (it uses about 30w more)

Also yesterday AMD released a driver update that gives a lot more performance in DX11 games, maybe the 6700 XT would now be faster, but more testing would be needed to see if that's true.

If the trade is legit, the 6700xt is a faster card (without ray tracing). Be careful though, because many used cards have been mined on, and the life might be effected.
