Hey probably been asked 100 times but I trust you lot, I'm gonna get some beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro or Beyerdynamic DT 900 PRO X, any recommendation on an AMP to get the most out of them, will only be for listing to YT 99% of the time but might make them my gaming set for the small amount I do.

Based in the UK BTW

Ow okay then....

There are quite a few good options, and it will depend a lot on what's easy to get where you live.

I really like the approach Schiit takes to most of their equipment, and at $100 the Magni 3+ is a very nice amplifier. In the $200 range, they have the Asgard and Magnius. You won't hear a difference between these amps, but you do get a higher-quality volume pot. On the Magnius, you get balanced inputs. If you have a balanced source (like an audio interface or USB DAC with balanced outputs), then this is definitely preferable to using unbalanced interconnects (RCA is unbalanced).

JDS Labs has really good electrical performance as well, and you may look into the Atom. I'm not big on the enclosure design used by JDS Labs, but that's a personal preference.

This is honestly the best pairing amplifier for the headphone on the market right now. Fixes some fundemental flaws or at least eases them. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Monolith-Liquid-Spark-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B07JW7NSXT?dplnkId=72d168e2-0a77-47a2-85e5-2cca7d24b870

As far as I'm concerned they're all pretty well-designed amplifiers (it's pretty hard to screw up a headphone amp design), so no reason not to take that route (well, the case is ugly IMO, but the OP may not be bothered by that look).

Yeah, I was worried about that.
