I had a wifi issue

I don't really know quite how to explain this, so please bear with me. I recently moved and the internet provider I used to have was great. The wifi was super fast on all my devices. When I moved, we had to change internet providers, but it's the same exact speeds using a wifi6 router/modem. However, when it was installed I noticed that the speed was slow.

The speed I am paying for is 1gig down and 500mb up. But when I would use Fast or Ookla's SpeedTest the speed would be about 150-200mbit and about 200-250mbit up on my Macbook, on my iPhone 11 Pro Max, it would be about 300-450mbit down and 300mbit up (which is strange as the 11 Pro Max is older than my M1 Macbook Pro), on my Lenovo Legion Y720 gaming laptop running Windows 11, the download speed is about 180-200mbit and upload is about 100-150. On my iPad Pro 12.9" (2018 model) I was getting speeds at about 150-200 down and 100-150 up.

Now, on the technician's Dell laptop, he was getting speeds about 800-900 on Windows 10. I just don't understand it at all. How can this be possible? Are there settings on all my devices that need to be changed? All my devices are up to date with software and wifi drivers, but yet I seem to be capped at these low speeds and not getting anywhere near the speeds he was showing on his laptop (every single test was consistent, too!). I just don't know for the life of me what to do to get the speeds I had with the other service.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Also, if you can dumb it down for me, as I am not really well versed when it comes to wifi. I really appreciate this. I have searched google but every answer I've seen is vague and not very helpful for me. So I thought I would come to LTT as I love their videos and know Linus has a LOT of fans who are just as tech savvy as he is.
