Hey im pretty sure my integrated graphics are about to die, but its okay because im gonna put in my computer normal graphics card but the question is if my (dead or broken) integrated graphics card can damage the cpu in any way?

Like can it change performance of the cpu or the cpu stops functioning at all?

if needed here is my cpu: Intel i5 4590S

Its prob not even your igpu, try just cleaning your ports and thatll prob fix any graphics issues you have

Not sure if igpu can even die on its own so id just assume both will die simoultaneously and not just one of em, though you can test with a junk 5-10$ gpu

What makes you think its about to die?
To be honest, thats not really how hardware like that works.

And Intel intergrated GPU has always been pretty mediocre at best.
(Altho now they have some good stuff, but not for this 8 year old).

Im guessing you're facing other issues, that might or might not be able to be fixxed by changing software.

Just in general.

This also works a little for computers, if you dont know how they work, dont expect to know whats gonna happen. 😉

Thanks for replies, i assumed that my igpu is gonna die because this week i started seeing artifacts in games and even on startup. Colors in games werent right, random stretching of things or rapidly color blinking streched things in games (like disco). Its all happening in games on browser is everything okay pretty much everything looks normal just these artifacts in games and startup. Even checked temperatures and its good.

here is some photos what it looks like.

Have you tried another monitor or cable?
Could be either of those as well.

Could also be a failing PSU, not being able to hold up the power-levels to where its needed.

(bit less common then the other 2).

In my experience those 3 are more likely then the actual hardware dying, but then nothing is really impossible. 😄
