You could check you DPC Latency which could help identify what is causing the freezing. Download and install LatencyMon instead (download here:http://www.resplendence.com/downloads). Then run it during a game (press the green arrow) and post a picture of LatencyMon whilst playing a game.

From that we may be able to work out what driver is causing.

If the problem isn't high DPC Latency then it will most likely be a hardware issue so you will have to test your hard drive and memory.

overheating?

overclocking?

Ive done a mem test and hard drive test and used them in my other computer with no problems ill download that program and see it it helps.

Yeah your freezes are being caused  by high a DPC latency which can be caused by a wide range of problems. From that image it shows that the driver usbport.sys is the main cause of the DPC latency. Can you also post a picture of what the Drivers tab looks like in LatencyMon also whilst running a game, this will be a list of the drivers and how much DPC latency they are causing.

First, unplug all usb devices other than your mouse and keyboard to see if one of those devices is causing the problem.

Then, if you are using the USB 2.0 ports on your motherboard try and use the USB 3.0 ports and see if that fixes the problem (or vise versa).

Then, you could try fix it by following what LatencyMon suggests by setting the power management in the control panel to High performance, disable any CPU throttling in the BIOS and update your BIOS.

Btw, a good way to test if it is any better is to use LatencyMon and see if the Highest measured interrupt to process latency is lower than about 1000, or you could just test to see if you get a freeze.

I put it to high preformance and didnt see anyting in the bios about cpu throttling and have the latest bios but still froze I'll try the usb thing when I get up. Also I switched to my old I7 2600k and z68x-ud3h-b3 and everything runs fine don't know why this cpu and motherboard is giving me problems it ran fine for months.

If your current set-up has been running fine for months then it suggests to me that a bit of hardware or software you added caused the problem. However, It is possible that the motherboard has become faulty.

Also, are you using ASUS's Ai Suite then try and disable any USB related applications in it, like USB Charger+ and USB 3.0 Boost, in the settings.

No dont have suite installed just did a fresh install of Windows and I just got this replacement motherboard 2 days ago because I first thought that was the problem and got a replacement from Asus but didn't help did the same with gpu and cpu tried other ram but nothing is working.

So it's not the motherboard then. Are you using your USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports on your motherboard, and what USB devices are you using?

Also, if you are using Windows 7 then install the latest driver for the USB 3.0 controller from the ASUS website.

Also, can you post a picture of the drivers tab on LatencyMon whilst running a game?
