Everything besides the cases were used that I've been gathering for a couple months but finally just finished. Besides missing 1 more figure to go inside mine because I put it in my son's pc. His is the smaller one. I know it's not all new model hardware but I think I did pretty good for the hardware I got. What do you think?

Mine:

Ryzen 9 3900x

MSI X570 Edge wifi

32g Gskill trident ram

Msi 2060 twin frozr

Evga 1080 w/ Arctic Accelero xtreme iv

I had the arctic accelero on my rx 580 in old pc but the 1080 got way too hot from the day I received it. Literally was pushing past 96c even with 83c limit and new paste and pads did no good. So once I moved the cooler it can pull full 100% power and overclock and not break 70c ever anymore.

I spent just a little over $1,000 on the parts just winning bids for most the hardware on this build.

Son's:

Ryzen 7 3700x

Gigabyte b450m ds3h wifi

16g Corsair Vengeance Pro

Asus 1660ti

I know the stuffed animal isn't great inside pc but he loves it and I have smaller fan behind it so airflow isn't an issue.

Spent about $600 on this one.

Any reason for the dual GPUs in your config?

And the stuffed toy inside your son's rig isn't doing it any favors for temps, its basically blocking the whole front intake. But if he likes it, well it is what it is.

Otherwise, pretty nice systems. Happy gaming!

I'll have them mining while I'm not using to offset the cost. Then because my little humble mining rig can't really handle another gpu til I get a better psu. Temps are fine inside his pc with the big front intake fan. I have a smaller fan right behind the stuffed toy to assist with fresh air going right to the gpu.

Makes sense, good way to recoup the cost.

Yea but that x570 is way better than the b450 I had. I also didn't pay new prices and probably can't find a better board for 60 bucks I paid.

I know it also had vrm temp issues but I don't overclock so I wasn't worried about that. But I wouldn't have bought it for new price.
