Ram question

Right now I have 1 stick of DDR3 Hyper X Fury 8GB 1866 MHz RAM, I want to get another RAM stick prefferably 8GB, but I can't seem to find the same exact stick I have on this website I buy of. Below are specs from my current RAM, it says 937 MHz because its 2x 937 MHz = 1866MT/s. Will this one work with it or no? https://www.olx.ba/artikal/46225122/kingston-hyperx-fury-black-8-gb/

Those timings may change a little bit and be worse, but otherwise I see no reason why that item won't work.

Fuck you scalpers, fuck you scammers, fuck all of you jerks that charge way too much to tech-illiterate people.

Unless I say I am speaking from experience or can confirm my expertise, assume it is an educated guess.

Current setup: Ryzen 5 3600, MSI MPG B550, 2x8GB DDR4-3200, RX 5600 XT (+120 core, +320 Mem), 1TB WD SN550, 1TB Team MP33, 2TB Seagate Barracuda Compute, 500GB Samsung 860 Evo, Corsair 4000D Airflow, 650W 80+ Gold. Razer peripherals.

Also have a Alienware Alpha R1: i3-4170T, GTX 860M (≈ a 750 Ti). 2x4GB DDR3L-1600, Crucial MX500

My past and current projects: VR Flight Sim: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/nathanpete/saved/#view=dG38Jx (Done!)

A do it all server for educational use: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/nathanpete/saved/#view=vmmNcf (Cancelled)

Another question would be why do you need more RAM

Their existing 8GB just won't cut it nowadays, especially on windows 10.

Possibly, but if you choose a random 8GB 1866 MHz stick, I would say u got like a 1 in 3 chance it works. That's because there are three makers of the DRAM chips inside of a RAM stick: Micron (Crucial), SK Hynix, and Samsung.

Idk who Kingston used in the DDR3 days, but if you got a stick of RAM from another brand, it will only really work (as in it will still work but like not in a good way) if that stick also uses similar DRAM chips from the same DRAM maker.

In your case, your chances of it working without a fight is best if you purchase a 8GB 1866MHz HyperX stick.

I found this one it's the EXACT same one even the color. https://www.olx.ba/artikal/27356515/nov-ram-kingston-hyperx-8-gb-ddr3-1866-mhz/ But i don't understand the price, 70 euros for DDR3 8GB come on now it can't be that expensive.

Unfortunately, the two of the four big makers of DDR3 chips has stopped or massively slowed down production as of early 2021, and a huge quantity of what is no longer being used get sent to a recycler or a landfill instead of fulfilling a second hand market.

Bc of that, supply of DDR3 is shorter than demand in the current market, and ofc that means raised prices.
