I already done the improvement based on NorKris's recommendation. But at the same time, I also ordered a new flow meter that will be added to my loop. 

Even though it is not going to solve any problem, at least it will give me a little comfort.

Well, I got the thermaltake flow meter.

Flow is 230L/H (which is good). Temperature of the fluid is 29C (inlet) while CPU at 45C at idle.

 

So for whomever else that may want to know. 230L/H (thermaltake) = 500rpm (dazmode).

distro plates and 90 degree fittings will reduce the flow a bit but 1lpm is = to 1 degree so unless your duel d5 pumping it its only like a degree maybe 2 max. the exstream builds back then used 2 d5 pumps modded tuebing, and even push like 13v thow the pumps to get about 8lph. witch is porbly like 4c lower... at a cost of like $500+...

230 is nice. Derbauer did a test where he reduced the flowrate to 2 L/h. and lost about 5c on the cpu. 

Safe to say that ur not close to that 😛

yeah, I am less worried about the flow now obviously lol.

Spend more time tuning down the pwm to keep the noise down as compared to temperature. Since I can achieve 45ish idle with half of the rpm to the D5. Which significantly reduces the motor whine.

 

So, if later down the road I would like to get the temperature down further, do I need more rad first or more fans first?

Yeah, clearly custom water cooling is not for the bang-for-the-buck performance. But damn it looks very nice 😄

The D5 pump doesn't "look" nice, so I did not see a real reason to get two of them lol.

Went with the distro plate because it is just so much better looking than a cylindrical reservoir. Had to make some modification to my Define R4 (not compatible as per EK) to fit the EK Fractal distro plate. Totally worth it and all my measurement was correct so it fit 🙂

ya alot of people even my self buy for looks then max performance but it is worth pointing out thow

 

years ago we use to aruge alot about what was the best and well unless you can afford it it didn't make sense. even back then there were rads up to 120mm thicc + 2 25mm fans in push pull... but then there were 30mm thicc rads with cheap fans that were out preforming it at lest for a cost to preformace and that's thow the standard aio is "30mm" now (aka like 28mm of acule fin cooling)

 

well aluminum rads were a thing long time ago but had no use for them because of mixed metals well the aio companies found a way to use em so they make alot off moeny selling an aio...

 

i got in to custom wc for $150 can complete set and that was with a d5 pump too... now the d5 pump alone is $150...

EK blocks are directional, are you sure you are using the inlet port? Also, I've not used a Distro plate before, but looking on EK's site, it looks like the ports are also directional (not necessarily need to go a certain way, but should be used for optimal flow). Could you possibly tell how your loop is configured? Comparing to the manual, it could be flow might not be going to the rad but that's from what I can see.

Yes, I did double check already. CPU block inlet and outlet was installed correctly. the distro plate is not directional but the inlet and outlet has to be on a certain port (basically the inlet and outlet of the D5). 

 

But after trying all the recommendation Norkris said, I lowered the core voltage and run a slower OC. The water temp is around 29C while my CPU runs at 45C.
