With literally top tier hardware you have basicly an open end, but I would say for reasonable hardware incl Monitors to use the power etc you could need about 4000£. This would all be absolutly highend gear tho. A really good PC that can run anything you want would be at 2500/3000+ if you dont need something like the 3090ti etc. Also your usecase would be good to know since streaming/programming/video editing could make use of more cores and RAM, while pure Gaming is best to pair with high single core performance and faster lower capacity RAM (16-32GB) also DDR5 RAM is just not worth it rn IMO. LTT just did a Video about PC building and picking the right parts for your use.

What would be all the things you want to do with the PC? Like streaming? Videoediting? Programming or just Gaming? Maybe music production? What resolution would you like to play at and what games? Do you want realtime raytracing? How much storage do you think you could need? That are all factors that could Change the prize of a new PC, also just looks and formfactor.

I think they’re just confused about how good high end is. imo they need a 12400f/3070 build, possibly 12700f. A more midrange build.
