Multiple Controllers Smart Tv

Hi

So in the near future we are going to get a new smart tv and have always wanted to play couch coop.

 

I have seen that the new Xbox one controller has been released with a wireless adapter that supports up to 8 controllers at once

 

So my question is if it is possible to just plug the new adapter into a USB port on the tv and connect 2 controllers wireless? (I could imagine that it would work fin doing it on my pc)

 

Hope that there is someone out there that have tried this.

 

(The tv’s we are considering is the new QNED from either LG or Samsung, both smart tv’s)
