Asus G20 modding.

Hi all I have an asus g20 that I broke the cooler on. I kinda wana build a custome diy case for it. Wana get a retro feel to the case. I have a 6700 2.5 ssd + 3.5 hhd. And a gtx 970 blower style card in it. I also wana keep some front io and the CD drive becuase I ironically still use cds in my car and have a lot of music. Any suggestions on how to start this crazy project. I want a beefier cooler but I also wana keep almost the same shape. Thank you for anyone who gives me advice or help.

Posting some examples of what you consider "retro" cases would be good way. After that specify if you have any experience on using angle grinder or any such tools which you would most definitely need to fit modern or OEM parts to any case.

Do you have any fabrication experience?

Building a PC Case isn't a simple little project, and shouldn't be taken 'lightly'.  

 

What materials do you want to use?  How big do you want to make the case? What features do you want?
