6600 is significantly faster. 3050 should be cheaper, and has DLSS that's a better feature than FSR right now, and NVENC might be helpful depending on your use case. Neither is a viable ray tracing card imo.

This is sort of a weird comparison because the 6600 competes more with the 3060, the 3050 is definitely a notch below in the market.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Since I wouldn't consider anything below a 3080 for ray tracing anyway, RTX in these cards is kind of meaningless. DLSS is nice, but there's also AMD's FidelityFX/RIS.

I'd say the 6600 (if in the states) is your best bang for buck. You can get them for the $370 range. As mentioned above, the 3050 is slower, but it costs more or around the same.

And for a few bucks more, you can get a 6600XT which is vastly superior to the 3050.

Or a 6700XT for only a little bit more which is way faster.

EVGA did have 3050's for about $300 today.

If the 3050 is more expensive where OP is looking than the 6600 is, then the 6600 is the play hands down.

Just checked Amazon USA, there are a couple of RX 6600 (Sapphire Pulse, XFX SWFT 210) that are price below 400USD, the RTX 3050 can be had for about the same or higher. Given that either can be had for about the same, the faster card should be the one to look at, and that is the RX 6600.
