Hi all, so I am currently using a budget MATX case from tecware, the M3 to be exact, and I was thinking of getting better airflow in the system, I was looking at the Montech air but I am a bit hesitant since it has break off PCI slots and a pretty ugly top cover ngl, so I am looking at other options, since the tecware has a chocked front intake so I'd be interested in other options. Or if it is just a good idea to change out all the fans? I am open to any good matx suggestions, maybe rough budget 100-150 max?

Open front panel cases are the only cases worth buying. Or ones with the side panel intake.

Solid front panel is like buying a skateboard just to hang out at the skatepark and never use it. You may look cool, but you'll never reach your full potential that way.

SGD, though USD prices are fine, at the end of the day I just need suggestions, also if possible rubber grommet cable management, the case aesthetic aint my thing for the cooler master though

True, thats why I was thinking about alternatives, as it is a bit noiser with my current 3060, with the 1660 I had it didn't have this issue.

I used the Corsair 4000X RGB in my 5900X build. Air-cooled (Scythe Mugen 5 with six 120mm fans and iCUE custom fan curve control), it stays under 80C and usually doesn't break 72C, idles around 38-42C. There is a 4000D Airflow version if you want more airflow, and they have bigger brothers, the 5000 and 7000 series also. All of them have room for AIO and radiators. Just be aware that they have 3.2 front panel I/O and two cables to mobo so adapters may be required.

5900x and 3070 with the 4000 Airflow and its super quiet and super cool 😎

my 3070 doesn't usually get past 60-65C under load. My 5900x has PBO enabled so its usually 75 under load.

The case looks awesome, honestly I'd go for it if they had a M-atx size... any Matx alternatives close to it?

Here's a Corsair Remark Micro ATX that's quite similar on eBAY. Used and slightly bruised though....

UPDATE: Check these out if you're looking for new -- I'm not sure Corsair's site filtering script is really working all that well... LOL

I just chatted with Sergio at Corsair -- he suggested this....

So I'll say it since no one else has yet, look at fractal designs my dude. They have matx options and are fantastic quality. Performance is among the top for most of their offerings and the cases are built super well.

Anyone has any thoughts on the 011 mini set to matx configuration?

I use it in ATX configuration. It's a bit cramped in ATX, but mATX would have a lot more room left over. Even with solid glass panels it does really well using the "side" and bottom as intake and the rear and top as exhaust. I use the Dynamic though and not the air.

There's a couple different models of the o11 mini. The Dynamic Mini which is what I've got. That requires a SFX PSU and not an ATX. It also comes with no fans, so you'd have to source those.

There is the Air Mini as well. That comes with fans and would support an ATX PSU.

https://lian-li.com/product/o11-air-mini/

Main difference besides included fans and PSU support is that the Air changes the front and top panels from glass to mesh. The dynamic mini also supports longer GPUs. 395mm vs 362mm.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Ah yes I meant the air version haha sorry I just woke up when I typed it. Because I can get one for about 119 SGD (88 USD) here for same day shipping, plus it has better aio support and future upgradeability

I realized the Mobo I have would have an issue with front headers.. PC Part picker listed that I need adapters for the USB c and the USB 2 to 3, any suggestions as this might be a deal breaker
