So I've just discovered about this warping issue concerning the way coolers are mounted to the CPU, causing backplate warpage over time. If you own a 12Th CPU can you tell me if you have experienced this? or at least noticed this?

Please let me know if you have and what motherboard you have been using!

I think this comes down to the cooler you use, as most non-stock coolers come with their own back plates that are strengthened for the purpose. It's an interesting question though -- makes me wonder what I might see in a few years with my recent 5900X build -- I have to admit, I was skeptical myself, thinking about this huge Rubix cube (Scythe Mugen 5) hanging sideways off of my board.

I don't badmouth others' input, I'd appreciate others not badmouthing mine. *** More below ***

Im thinking of using the Deepcool Ak120, being an 120mm air cooler and such, I wouldn't think it would be too heavy to the stage it would do that. Or so I hope

I'm actually thinking of rigging up some sort of support wire if I can make it work, but others say they've had no issues with the same basic setup. FWIW, I do think you get what you pay for with aftermarket coolers. A cheaper one might not have as rigid of a back plate and therefore might be more subject to warping.
