How to boost performance

So I have an Intel Core i7 thunderbolt laptop with Iris Xe integrated graphics, and I want to boost its  performance. I originally wanted to buy an eGPU or build one with an RTX 3050, but I was told that would waste a lot of performance. I want to play higher quality Minecraft, Microsoft Flight Simulator (The new one) Battlefield 2042 and maybe mine some ether on the side casually. Should I set up a server with the 3050, is that even possible? Should I get a eGPU? Help!

Spending that kind of money for simply a 3050 is just not worth it. Getting a eGPU enclosure, and setting it up for just a 3050 seems like you would barely increase your performance for the pretty large cost it would be depending on the enclosure you get.
