Blank screen on boot

Ive just installed a different power supply that is a little old but working. Every time I boot my PC it’ll let me log in but blanks out when I do. I was able to use my computer once before the problem started happening frequently. Recovery mode opens when I restart after the issue occurs and CMOS was also reset.

Sounds like the PSU isn't working. What are the full system specs?

What is your old PSU, and what is your new PSU? Did you reuse ANY cables?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Explorer.exe doesn't load?

It might be a broken user profile, a faulty Windows or a problem with the drive.

If task manager works (Ctrl alt delete) you can try starting CMD.exe and explorer.exe.

From CMD you can check the drive with

Chkdsk c: /f /x /r

And the windows using

Sfc /scannow

Might help.
