Upgrading my little prebuilt

Go to solution Solved by BONBOOTH,

I had that same mobo,  I noticed it was notably faster when I stuck a new stick of ram in it, I bought a kit of 2X16 gig and I was able to at least play most games somewhat, I did end up getting a new gpu for it. other than that the mobo is pretty limited.

Budget (including currency): 300€ (can do 400 if the upgrade is substantial)

Country: Italy

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: basic office workload ,light programming, games (World of Warcraft, minecraft, diablo, maybe some others mmorpgs)

Other details  already have a QHD monitor I won't change for years, starting with this prebuilt

Current specs

CPU: AMD Ryzen™ 3 3200G

CPU Cooler: stock I think

MOBO: this one

RAM: 8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB)

Storage: 512 GB PCIe NVMe™ M.2 SSD

PSU: 180 W Gold efficiency (some unnamed hp oem)

I have available one RAM slot, one or two (need to check) M.2 and one PCIe x1, one PCIe x16 (both gen 3) . From my calculation I consume 120 W (more or less) so I have around 60W to expand

I was thinking about doubling the ram (so another 8 GB stick) unless buying 2x16GB is a really big improvement, a low power GPU, no ideas about the other PCIe or the M.2

So here I am asking for your suggestions
