Help! Air cooler missing washers!?

So I ordered a ID COOLING IS40 air cooler and it didn't come with the plastic and or felt washers for the screws that go through the back of the MOBO into the metal mounting bracket.

MY QUESTION, is a metal screw going into a metal bracket, making contact of MOBO on both side a bad thing? Can I still install the cooler? Or do I absolutely NEED these washers? I contacted the company which i bought the cooler from and all they told me was how to install the thing lol any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

not surprising based on the reviews i saw. is it supposed to come with washers? if so, it should be fine as they don't usually put traces close to where the screws will be, so shouldn't cause a short or anything. if it's meant to have them, i would feel more comfortable with them installed though. other thing is if the screws will be able to go in far enough without the washers, or will there be a gap causing the heat sink to not contact properly. can you return it and get a better cooler?

If it's just felt washers you could probably get something at a local hardware store as stand-in. If it's plastic the dimension might be important so a replacement might be harder to find.

Amazingly enough, I managed to find some small plastic washers that worked perfectly and the install went great! This is my old build that I'm kinda fixing up for fun, will post pics when done.

But this is a prime example of why you always keep extra pieces! Haha
