G-Sync or Freesync Premum for 3060 Ti?

I have an older Predator XB271HU with G-Sync and recently received a prize of a newer Acer monitor with Freesync Premium. Both monitors are 1440p 165Hz capable, but the Acer has HDMI2.0 while the Predator has HDMI1.4. Though I run Display Port anyway. Otherwise the 2 monitors don't seem to have other differences. Would a 3060 Ti work better on the older monitor with G-Sync, or should I swap it out for the newer Acer Freesync Premium monitor?

We'll have to know what specific monitor you're talking about with the "new" one.

 

But as far as VRR goes, both should work the same.

Here is a direct comparison of the two: Acer Predator XB271HU Bmiprz vs Acer Nitro XV272U KVbmiiprzx Side-by-Side Monitor Comparison - RTINGS.com

As you can see the XV272U is better in pretty much every way.

So G-sync and Freesync premium would work equally well on a Nvidia card? G-sync monitors was supposed to have some hardware that optimizes it for nvidia card, but that was many years ago.

Nowadays G-Sync works on AMD GPUs and FreeSync works on Nvidia GPUs, as long as you're using DisplayPort. At least in 99% of cases.
