Budget (including currency): 250 Eur

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Far Cry 5

Other details:

Hi, I would like to ask if it is worthwhile to upgrade my current CPU.

I currently have a pre-built ASUS desktop with a core i3 6098P, a GTX 1050Ti and 16GB DDR4 RAM.  Please find attached output from CPUID which contains more detail.

I am wondering if it would be worthwhile to upgrade the CPU to achieve better gaming performance; typically I play older games such as GTAV without issue; however, some games such as Mafia definitive edition and Far Cry 5 chug along at low settings and I wonder if it would help me to upgrade the CPU or call it a day with this machine and invest in something new entirely.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

I would suggest ether getting a I7 or i5 but you could also look toward maybe a 1080ti

Thanks, would I need to get a 6th gen processor in order to fit it within my current machine?  Any suggestions on where I can check for compatibility?

This one for example:  https://www.amazon.de/Intel-Core-i7-6700-4GHz-Boxed/dp/B0136JONG8/ref=sr_1_19?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&crid=35KUBL1K1CFJC&keywords=core+i7+6&qid=1648388145&sprefix=core+i7+6%2Caps%2C94&sr=8-19&language=en_GB

Would it be worth buying a second hand desktop such as an old business machine with a compatible processor and swapping it?
