I seem to have what looks like a dead pixel on my monitor, the only weird thing is that the exact same defect shows up on both my laptop screen and my external monitor. This makes me think the issue is GPU / software related, but I honestly have no idea. Has anyone ever dealt with something like this before? Computer is a 2022 blade w/ 3060 and 12800h. I've noticed that sometimes the problem will go away after restart, but always seems to come back after a short time. Any input is much appreciated! :)

This seems bigger than a pixel, more like a square of 4 pixels.

Then it isn't black so it's more like dead subpixels.

But I doubt you have dead subpixels

I usually hunt for dead pixels with the Paint software. I display full screen Red, Blue and Green. Do that

Had this happen a few times and thought it was a dead pixel. It was something software related. I think it was an app window that was only 1 pixel big or something like that. Restart your PC and it should be gone.

It looked exactly the same in my case. A small black pixel with shade around the bottom half, but no shade around the top half.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
