The build in apu graphic is it soso or is it can consider as good for daily usage such as watching 1080p movies and a little of gaming. not intend to plug a graphic card in at the moment of time.

Yeah go APU. If you don't intend to use dedicated graphics never use an Intel chip.

Hi guys, im here to look at some advice for refreshing my desktop.

1 year ago i refreshed my old Intel Duo Core E7200 pc with one Corsair HX750, Carbide 300R and a 1.5TB Seagate barracuda hdd. And i got a spare Cooler Master Seidon 120V also.

Now the motherboard seems like having issue, 1st bootup confirmed fail. that computer is mainly for parent document works. Since i had already refreshed some of the parts before, dont waste it i will just upgrade the other.

I got 2 choice for platform, AMD n Intel. Both build budget is around there.

1. Intel Haswell

   - Intel Core i3-4130
   - Gigabyte G1.Sniper B85

   - Kingston HyperX 1600MHz 4GBx2 Kit

2. AMD Kaveri

   - AMD A10 7700K/AMD A10 6800K (still havent decide yet but mostly will be 7700K, also got decide for A8 6600K)

   - Gigabyte G1.Sniper A88X

   - Avexir Core series 2133MHz 4GB x2 kit with Green LEDs

What was ur opinion? will add either a Plextor M5s 120GB / Intel 530 series 120GB SSD into the system if budget allow. Graphic wise, most probably not an issue cause this pc is mainly for works (maybe running autocad or use to run 1080p movie at living room connect to a 50 inch TV) and i own myself a rig running 3930K + 16GB 1600mhz ram and a GTX680 2GB DCII OC. even graphic is needed, will be putting it on after a few months later.

What do you guys think? which build is nicer?
PS: Both choice above have nearly the same price at my local store, so basically just give opinion on pro n cons of the different platform and which serve better.

My 2013 First Build
Processor : Intel i7 3930K | Motherboard : Asus Rampage IV GENE | RAM : 2x Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz 2x4GB Kit (Mix color black and red) | Graphics : Asus GTX 680 Direct CU II OC | SSD : Intel 520 Series 120GB | Cooler : Corsair H100i | PSU : Corsair AX760 | Chassis : Corsair Obsidian 650D | Mouse : Razer Mamba 4G Edition | Keyboard : Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2013

These are both good rigs I prefer the intel one tho.

Yeah, i think both are great choice. so its quite tough to choose among them... performance wise might look the same, although intel is duo core but 4 threads while amd is quad core. correct me if i say it wrong.

both having that good audio chip. layout everything nearly the same...

AMD by far will preform a lot better.

Intel if you plan on maybe using it for steam streaming in the future but AMD has 4 cores and a decent integrated GPU so it would be more efficient in other tasks such as AutoCAD. AMD would be a bit more expensive so there is that too.

Thanks. Wount be using any streaming features yet since im still a student, and not a big gaming fan, just sometime play for fun. Will most probably run autocad for school works and maybe on the practical session. not editing any kind of video at the moment but i do like this hobby, just no one to share with xD
