Newly built pc has power but no display

Hello. I have just built my new pc and it turns on the fans are on but my monitors  don’t display anything?

We need system specs to help.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

try a different cable, of a different connector type (so rather than using the hdmi port, try the display port)

It must be true, I read it on the internet...

What parts did you put in the computer? It's newly built. What CPU, PSU, RAM, GPU, Motherboard did you use?

3050 32gb ram Ryzen 7 5700G (psu. Mwe 600. 230V)  motherboard prime b45om-a

That CPU wasn't supported until a BIOS that came out much later than the original release of that board. There's a  chance it doesn't have a new enough BIOS for the 5700g. If you have an older AM4 CPU, you can use that to update BIOS.

basic step, is the display cable in the GPU?

Will it mean I have to buy a new mother board as I can’t get on the bios at all. As I don’t think the mother board is working at all now

Just a quick question if you were to buy a motherboard for that cpu what mother board would you recommend

Why not update the BIOS with an older CPU or get the BIOS updated before condemning the motherboard?

It is plugged into the gpu I have already put the cpu on the motherboard I did change it back to the old cpu but it did the same thing

Put old CPU in and clear CMOS then boot.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

Grab the BIOS file from Asus' site for the Prime B450m and then follow these directions.

Then the BIOS on your system is too old for that CPU. You need to update to 2409 or newer. Just use the newest non beta BIOS.

Done all of it updated it to the right one and it’s still not working with the new cpu

did you clear CMOS after bios update and cpu swap? 

it can take a while to retrain some of these boards. just leave it on 10 min or so.
