now my question is that is it really necessary to charge it 24 hours the 1st time and then you charge it normally after that or am I wrong how should I tell them to charge there laptops?

With Lithium ION batteries it is not necessary.

Just tell them to charge maybe 20-50% at a time.

Good to know , I normally tell them to charge it full 100% first charge and then afterwards only to 80% and not to let it go under 20% when it hits 20% or ask to be plugged in I tell them they should charge it and one a month they should like let it die completely and charge it fully to recalibrate the battery am I correct in doing it that way?

I wouldn't recommend fully discharging them.

Lithium ION batteries will age with each charge/discharge cycle due to chemical reactions within the cell.

If you're storing the battery for a while charge it to around 50% and then store it.

Charging a completely empty battery has it's risks.

EDIT: Also a completely discharged battery will die quicker if discharged or fully charged while being plugged in.
