So i was going to wait for Haswell-E and the 800 Series but i can't do it anymore. My ultrabook can't even handle Deadspace (the first one) on decent settings.  I was going to watercool it. What i have in my mind now is to build this : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3ulbn (Would run me 3392€ because i'm in germany.) and screw Haswell-E and the 800 Series and then when Broadwell-E (or whatever comes next-E) and the 900 Series/ what ever AMD has to offer and then watercool. Is this a plan? A good one? (I'll make another topic about the parts for the pc. So no ''You should use this and that'' in this topic please.

Thanks.

We are so close to Hawell-E. Just wait a few more months. I wouldn't wait for Maxwell though. Just get SLI 8800 GTXs

So what do you want to know then if you don't want us to critique the components.

It's because many people don't undertstand that pricing isn't the same all around the world. Also I didn't give you to much information on what i will be doing with this pc.

With the money you're spending @Izaya Orihara , I really would wait for Haswell-E. Because at that same price, you'll get (at least.. hopefully) better performance. If you were spending ~$1,500 or so, I would just say to hell with it - Do It!

But in your case, with that kind of money, I would be patient and run the build a lot smarter. For you, smarter = time.

Next on, I know you said don't comment on your components, and no, I won't post something stupid and mention something common sense like your mobo won't fit your case, as if you can't read...

Now, real quick, the reason I am saying it in this thread, is because I'll be on vacation in Las Vegas from tomorrow for a week, so I won't be able to comment on your next thread.

Anyways, what I will say though is, there's 2 things I recommend you do change:

1) Why not H100i? It'll be just as quiet, and slightly better performance.

2) Switch from RM1000 to AX1200i. Not for the wattage - but for the 80+ Platinum and it's gonna be a lot more quiet than the RM1000

I know, both raise the price.. But you can always move something around.

I can't wait anymore. Too long.

Also i does fit http://pcpartpicker.com/b/Ocn

1. This is very incorrect. I used an H100i in one build for my uncle. Terrible.. Waay to loud. Replaced it with a Dark Rock 3 Pro and now it's silent. Also yes the temps would be a little better but i prefer silence over temps.

2.  This is kind of a mixed bag. The RM1000 is optimized in every way to be silent. The AX1200i isn't.  Yes a more efficent PSU creates less heat but the diffrence between gold and platinum is marginal and RPM per RPM the fan on the AX1200 is louder. Also the Corsair 1000 Watt RM has flat black cables and that is why it wins for me.
